A Lot To Be Thankful For

This Thanksgiving was different than in years past. I have always had a lot to be thankful for but sometimes it gets lost in the baking and prep work. When you have a sweet, lively little 8 month old it is quite hard to get lost in any of that. We spent a wonderful 2 days at my parents house. For the first time we had all of my siblings and spouses and babies sleeping under one roof. Sure we are under the same roof all the time but two nights of sleepovers was awesome. I am so grateful that my family enjoys spending so much time together and that we live close enough that we can.

I love that we could spend a few days hanging out with my family and then come home and still get to spend a whole weekend just hanging out with our little family.

On Thanksgiving Dani, my sister-in-law with this awesome blog wanted to take some pictures of Lily. I included my favorites but you can click this to see more.

  1. It sounds like you guys had an awesome Thanksgiving! Massive family sleepovers sound like fun; maybe we'll try it with the Plautzes once the babies are better at sleeping through the night. And Lily is just too adorable. I miss getting to see her smiles at church -- we'll have to have you over sometime soon!

  2. Don't you love that Barnyard Dance book? Thomas loves it...I think I have it memorized :)

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I'm going to have to work on the healthy snacks. Veggies go bad so quickly that I never finish them in time, but I suppose that's the point--eat more of them so they don't have time to go bad.
