A Lot To Be Thankful For

This Thanksgiving was different than in years past. I have always had a lot to be thankful for but sometimes it gets lost in the baking and prep work. When you have a sweet, lively little 8 month old it is quite hard to get lost in any of that. We spent a wonderful 2 days at my parents house. For the first time we had all of my siblings and spouses and babies sleeping under one roof. Sure we are under the same roof all the time but two nights of sleepovers was awesome. I am so grateful that my family enjoys spending so much time together and that we live close enough that we can.

I love that we could spend a few days hanging out with my family and then come home and still get to spend a whole weekend just hanging out with our little family.

On Thanksgiving Dani, my sister-in-law with this awesome blog wanted to take some pictures of Lily. I included my favorites but you can click this to see more.

Prettiest Pumpkin in the Patch

Lily was the cutest little pumpkin ever this year.
I thought I would plan and plan her costume to figure out what would be the cutest thing on her and make her first Halloween perfect.
I'm glad thats not how it worked out.

This was a TJ Maxx find and I just got lucky with the headband in the $1 bin at Gymboree. Halloween and the Friday before at the ward trunk-or-treat were rainy and cold. I think I would have been kind of bummed if I had spent tons of time and energy on something that was hardly used.

More importantly this costume fits Lily's personality better than anything I could have thought up.
